From the moment of the heroine's unscheduled arrival in Edmenton, the various 'others' (non-human, magical beings) popped out of the proverbial woodwork. Brandy Rivers painted the characters with such careful construction that I could easily visualise each one and felt that I'd personally meet them. This was a delightful story. As the romantic link between hero and heroine, and the danger they were getting into developed hand in hand, the reader is swept along. Not only has the author found ways to manage each scene, the ending was nicely wrapped up too... but leaving you with the desire to read more.
This could easily be a stand-alone book, but personally I want to continue to find out what happens with other characters. This is romantic fantasy in all its glory. I will be reading more of Brandy River's books. In fact, I've already bought the next one in this series.

In Too Deep Others of Edenton Book 1 edition by Brandy L Rivers Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
Overall rating 5 Rockin’ Stars!
The wolf let out a ragged sigh, and then his breathing slowed as his body relaxed. “What are you?” he whispered as his big clawed hand came up to caress her face.
An unexpected accident brings Fallon and Brody together for their first meeting. Fallon is cruising along on her Harley running without lights and using a silencing spell to muffle the sound. She slams into a dark creature streaking out of the woods that is being pursued by two vampires.
“Any more vampires after you?” she sincerely hoped the answer was no.
This is the beginning of another battle between the inhabitants of Edenton and The Dales a rogue pack of vampires. The Dales are controlled by a master vampire and a group of dark mages. They focus on capturing Others for their illegal fight rings.
Fallon’s best friend Jess has seen her arrival and secured an apartment, a job and a mate for her. All without letting anyone else know what is going on! Oh yes, Jess sees future events and knows her friend will find her future in Edenton.
“I like the ink,” he admitted in a gravelly voice. They’re only staring because they want to see your tattoos up close and in the flesh.”
Fallon uses her unique warding ability to infuse the tattoos she does for others. This will be used to protect the Others of Edenton from the upcoming battle with the Dales. Both Fallon and Brody find that they cannot fight the pull of true mates and the strength it gives them as a united pair.

Would I recommend this book Yes!
Would I read other books by this author Yes, looking forward to another installment of Others’ life in Edenton.
The female lead in this story is a kick a-s no nonsense take no prisoner kind of gal. Fallon is a tattoo artist, a druid and motorcyclist. She is riding her bike when out of nowhere an injured werewolf crashes into her cycle and so begins our story. Brody, the werewolf was running away from two rogue vampires who just attacked and tried to kill him. Fallon kills the two rogues and then heals Brody enough to get him to safety. The attraction between Brody and Fallon is combustible but there is a problem (isn't there always) Fallon is coming off really bad relationship and is in no mood to start another love affair. So between Brody and Fallon's relationship issues and rouge vampires our hero and heroine have quite a bit on their plates.
This was a fast moving exciting story with lots twists and turns. An excellent paranormal adventure. It was a great story and I recommend it.
Several times while reading, I had to go back and reread paragraphs because the author wasn't clear about who was speaking/ moving at that particular time. Scenes got jumbled and didn't make sense. Very frustrating.
The story took way too long to develop. The opening scene grabbed me, but everything afterward moved at a snails pace. The hero wants the heroine. The heroine wants the hero. The heroine is denying it because she just got through a bad breakup. EVERYONE in town is trying to push the two together. (Do they all have no lives of their own? It seems to be all anyone ever talks about.) The hero is begging them all to back off, and heroine is telling them all to f- off. This goes on, chapter after chapter, with no progression to the relationship between the characters, or to the plot of the story.
She's gorgeous, every man wants her, every single guy hits on her and continues to beg for her attention after she practically spits in their faces. He's gorgeous, every girl wants him, but he turns them all down because he's waiting and hoping the ice princess will thaw for him. Everyone else (and the cast of characters is vast) feels its their business to shove the two together. Repeat. Repeat.. Repeat, again...
Two stars for the fact that author was creative with her many types of characters.
I am still glad that I read that prequel first, because it enabled me to know the story of the Alpha and his mate (who are supporting characters in this story). I didn't really care for the Alpha's mate, so I was pleased that Fallon, the Heroine of this book, was not quite so irritating.
She did, though, have just a little too many abilities and powers. In fact, it seemed like there wasn't much that she couldn't do. The poor Hero had to be rescued by her quite a few times. This book, like the prequel, still had many proofreading/editing errors, and still feature women who can't seem to make intelligent relationship decisions....until, of course, they meet the men of Edenton.
The prequel, for me, was below average for the genre. This one was an OK read for me. It had decent action scenes and decent sex scenes. It also had more established villains.
